Assembly Note: These chairs feature a toolless quick assembly design. There are tracks on the inside of the leg frames to attach the seat and back cushions. The frame tracks are offset to the cushion tracks by design. They're a little tricky at first and will require some force to line up and slide in, but once you do, these chairs are rock solid (and very comfortable!). We have personally assembled these chairs, and they take about 6 minutes each (yes, we timed it) once you get the hang of it. View the WD387 assembly instructions here.

Work Smart chairs are warranted from the date of purchase against failure due to material and workmanship as follows:
  • 15 Years on all non-moving metal parts.
  • 5 years on component parts, including control mechanisms, pneumatic cylinders, wood, plastic parts, base, and casters.
  • 3 Years on upholstery fabric and foam against wear and deterioration.
  • Leather is not warranted against routine scratching and scuffing, as leather is subject to minor blemishes in use.
All warranties are limited to the original purchaser for normal commercial usage defined as a standard forty-hour workweek by persons weighing 250 lbs. or less. The EX1098, EC1283C & ECH12801 are for persons weighing 350 lbs. or less. This warranty will not cover labor, freight, or damage from misuse, abuse, negligence, alteration, accident, vandalism, rusting, acts of nature, or any other event beyond the control of Office Star Products. The warranty does not cover cosmetic damage that may result from normal use.

Liability for incidental or consequential damages is excluded. The user assumes all risk of injury resulting from the use of this product. When usage is more than 40 hours per week, a two-year warranty on all parts applies. Fabric is warranted for one year. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. All Work Smart chairs are built to meet or exceed ANSI BIFMA standards.

Return Policy

We have the very best return policy versus our competitors!

If you wish to return an item, and it is a returnable item (products noted as Special Order/Custom Order cannot be returned), contact us for an RMA within 30 days (14 days for the ERA brand).

Ship it back for a full refund. We will not deduct any original shipping charges or restocking fees from your refund. You simply pay the return shipping. Items must be returned within 30 days, and in the condition and cartons in which they were sent, so save the boxes!

In the event your item is defective or damaged in shipping, we will promptly ship replacement parts. If you would rather return the item, our standard return policy applies.

We reserve the right to bill you for shipping charges on refused shipments that are not damaged, or shipments returned due to incorrect addresses.

Shipping Policy

Our free shipping is available to your door or dock on all items shipped by UPS or FedEx within the 48 contiguous states. Please note that we reserve the right to bill you for any address corrections or address changes once an order ships. All items are shipped unassembled or partially assembled unless otherwise noted.

Heavy Freight Deliveries

Quantity orders (typically 6+ items) and all large/heavy items will require a heavy freight carrier and may require additional travel time. All heavy freight shipments are dock to dock ("tailgate") deliveries. This means that you must be available to unload the item(s) from the tailgate of the truck. If you are not available at the time of delivery and the carrier has to reschedule/redeliver your order, you may be subject to redelivery charges.

Additional Delivery Fees

Heavy Freight Carrier Inside Delivery - $185 if requested at time of order (price includes a lift gate service). You may incur a higher cost if requested at time of delivery.

Heavy Freight Carrier Liftgate Service - $130 if requested at time of order (our free freight is for dock to dock deliveries only). You may incur a higher cost if requested at time of delivery.

Heavy Freight Re-Delivery or Pick up Reschedule - $60-$120 per failed attempt
